Gartner Peer Insights Recognition for McAfee Security Information and Event Management

We are proud to say that McAfee software program has received recognition from all the customers with the 2018 Gartner Peer Insights Customers Choice award for the Security Information and Event Management (SIEM). This is a recognition of quite high satisfaction from multiple numbers of reviews by verified end-user professionals. To make sure fair evaluation, Gartner maintains rigorous criteria for recognizing different vendors with a very high customer satisfaction rate.
If you do not know much about our SIEM product i.e. McAfee Enterprise Security Manager (ESM), we encourage you to read a blog post published back in the month of March (Is Your SOC Caught in the Slow Lane) for some more details and information. ESM 11 is a modern Security Information and Event Management (SIEM), which we define as having a scalable and open data architecture, advanced analytical capabilities and the ability to enrich quickly and share quite relevant data.
And while Gartner has named McAfee software a Leader in the Magic Quadrant for Event Management and Security Information over the past 7 complete years, something that makes us completely proud, we are most appreciative of our clients who support our technologies and share their opinions through various discussion forums like Gartner Peer Insights. We believe the passion and voice of our clients are critical to our success and motivates us each and every day.
The corporate tag line of McAfee is Together is Power. We are quite stronger when we work together with partners and customers. Put another way, we recognize that companies, and in this context, various teams of security operations, use a wide variety of tools, that is why our Security Operations platform, that includes our SIEM, is strengthened by a lot of partners in our Alliance of Security Innovation (SIA). Time to value is quite important when bringing several new tools into the environment of the customer. And while we know many organizations want to reduce the specific number of tools used in their environment, research shows 25% of events of security go unanalyzed. And 39% of cybersecurity companies manually process, collect, and analyze external intelligence feeds. That means there is quite a room space for solutions like ESM, which can particularly reduce complexity and improve critical security outcomes, such as detection to mean time and respond to mean time, and efficiently address critical compliance requirements.
Gartner Peer Insights distinctions of Customers Choice are determined by the subjective opinions of individual customers that are end-user based on their own experiences, the various number of reviews published on Insights of Gartner Peer, and overall ratings for a given vendor in today’s market, as further described here, and are not intended in any way possible to represent the views of Gartner or its affiliates.
