Facing error while installing the McAfee On-Demand scanner?

The McAfee Security On-Demand scanner can face errors and not manage to run in case your system is running software that conflicts it, or it is not compatible with the scanner, or it is infested with a virus. The On-Demand scanner scans your system for hidden malware problems and aims to eliminate any traced infection, these are used to removing the infestations that went undetected past the antivirus program
Run the system in safe mode
The On-Demand scanner can encounter defects due to a possible program or another process that is intervening with the scan. Malware can infest the scanner or a program and not allow the scanner to function properly. Now it can be difficult to identify to the malware infection, you can attempt to run or boot your system in the safe mode, and then try running the on-demand scanner to get rid of the irrelevant processes that were previously interfering. Boot your system from windows sign-in display screen, hold the shift key and select restart from the power icon you see.
Windows defender can create problems
The on-demand scanner can be prone to errors if your system is running parallel anti-virus programs.
It is known that windows defender or a specific component of Microsoft Security Essentials can cause
problems with the On-Demand scanner by McAfee, when you are running two anti-virus programs at the very same time, this can create confusion and create issues with each other, hence result in interfering, or not allowing permission for a program to run, if your system is running windows defender or some other anti-virus program. Uninstall that anti-virus software program to avoid this error.
Exchange error of Microsoft
The On-Demand scan can fail to run due to issues with software from Microsoft exchange. McAfee co-operates with Microsoft exchange into scanning emails that eliminate viruses preceding the user’s activation. There is a possible file that is responsible for this conflict that is the McEWSWrapper.tlb file, which is when deleted and remade can rectify this problem. You can remove this error by getting rid of the McEWSWrapper.tlb file, that is present in the Microsoft Exchange folder, delete the file by opening a command prompt from the administrator’s position, enter cd ExchangeFolder\bin , here the exchange folder is your system’s Microsoft Exchange installation directory, press enter, and input Configurex64.exe RegisterEWSWrapper, press enter once again.
Incomplete or a possible incompatible installation
If the installation receives an improper update or goes half corrupt, the On-demand scanner can come up with an error and go crashing as information that it requires o operate isn’t correct. Now, if there exists an issue with installing the scanner, then remove McAfee from your system, delete the McAfee directory via the file explorer, and reinstall McAfee plus update your program to the latest patch. If the software works before the update and doesn’t perform after the update, then you can either update back to the previous edition or you can wait for McAfee to come up with a solution.
